NEET (UG) is a national level Single Medical entrance exam conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).It is a one tier exam, commences once is a year in the month of May.

NEET considered to be the country’s largest medical entrance exam, is conducted for admission to medical , dental  course in India (Except AIIMS & JIPMER) and admission to all the AYUSH courses in the country.NEET 2019 will offer a total of almost 94,000 MBBS and BDS seats to the medical.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification :- The candidates must qualify class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English to appear for NEET 2019. It is required of candidates to pass in these subjects individually.
  • Age :- Candidates must have at least be 17 years of age. Candidates above 25 years of age (30 years of age if belonging to reserved or PWD Categories)can also apply.The revised date of birth is o or before December 31, 2002. As per the interim order, the upper age limit has been removed by the Supreme Court for the candidates to take NEET. The final decision will be taken in February.
  • Minimum Required Marks :- In the qualifying examination , the candidates must have scored an aggregate of 50% (for unreserved) , 45% (for physically Handicapped, and 40% for reserved including the PH reserved) in the subjects of Physics , Chemistry and Biology in aggregate.
  • Number of Attempts :- Candidates can take NEET UG as many times as they wish considering the fulfil the other eligibility criteria.

How to fill NEET Application Form 2019?

  1. Fill the online application form and generate a registration number

Candidates should fill in the correct details same as that of the ones mentioned in the Class 10 certificate. The details to be filled in the NEET 2019 application form include:

At this step, aspirants can also review the filled in application details. In case of any question filled in incorrectly, you can just edit the details by clicking on ‘Back’ button. If the information is appropriate and correct, students can click on ‘Final submission’ button to go to the next step. Students will also receive an OTP on the registered mobile number and email ID.

Step 2 – Uploading of scanned documents

At this step, students need to upload their images, signature and right hand index finger impression in the following format:

  • Image:In JPEG format between 10 KB and 100 KB in size
  • Signature:In JPEG format between 3KB and 20 KB in size
  • Right hand index finger impression:In JPEG format between 3 KB and 20 KB in size

Step 3 – Payment of Application Fee

After successfully completing the above steps, students need to generate the confirmation page by clicking the ‘Confirmation Page’.

Application Form Correction

IT has been started from 14th January 2019.  Correction facility in some particulars has been provided via online mode. National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is popularly known as NEET. It is a national level examination. This exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency. Through NEET exam, candidates can get admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered by various government and non-government medical and dental colleges in India. Here, we are providing the information about NEET Correction 2019.

How to Make Correction in NEET 2019 Application Form

Corrections in the filled-in application form of NEET 2018 can be done by following these simple steps:

  • Visit the Official Site of NEET. (Link is given above).
  • Visit “Candidates Login” link.
  • Enter your registration number and password.
  • Click on the link for correction.
  • Now, correct your filled details in the application form.
  • Candidates are advised to correct the mistakes carefully as no second-time correction opportunity will be provided further.

NEET 2018 Correction Process

For availing the correction facility, candidates have to visit the official website during the schedule fixed for the correction facility.

Correction in any other data is not allowed as this will not affect the candidature and the merit. Further, candidates are requested to be very careful while making corrections as no second opportunity will be made available for corrections.

After correction, candidates will print correction slip and retained the same for their reference and record. No correspondence thereafter will be entertained by the Board in this regard.

Due to correction in Category, if the additional fee will be payable, the same will be remitted through Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking during the given period only. Parents are expected to read & understand the above information and help their ward in doing the needful correctly.

Correction In Scanned Images:

Candidates those have uploaded wrong Photograph, Signature & will be intimated by CBSE through an e-mail & SMS. Candidates will re-upload these documents by log into the application portal in given time frame.

Candidates who will receive the SMS and email from CBSE regarding application form correction should re-upload the scanned documents within 3 days.

All the aspirants are advised to fill the application form carefully if by mistake some entries are entered wrongly, then students have a chance to rectify them within correction period.

The board has been provided the one-time correction opportunity in the field of Date of Birth, State Code of Eligibility, Gender, Category, and Disability Status.

Q. Will the application form of NEET 2019 be available offline as well?

A. NTA has released the application forms of the exam online. And there is no information about the application fee being released offline. Students are advised to submit the application form online only on NTA’s official website.

Q. What is National Eligibility cum Entrance Test –UG (NEET-UG)?

A. As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 as amended in 2018 and the Dentists Act-1948 as amended in 2018, admissions in 100% seats of MBBS/BDS will be done through NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) – 2018 (NEET-UG, 2018) in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

Q. When NEET-UG, 2018 will be conducted?

A. NEET-UG, 2018 will be conducted on 6th May, 2018 (Sunday).

 Q. Will I be able to make changes in NEET application form once I submit it?

A. Yes.NTA will allow candidates to make changes to their already submitted NEET application forms through an application correction window.

Q. What is the minimum qualification for appearing in NEET-UG, 2018 for candidates of physically handicapped category?

A. In respect of candidates with Bench Mark Disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with  Disabilities Act, 2016, the minimum marks shall be 45% instead of 50% for General category candidates and 40% for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH candidates.

Q. I have forgotten my password for NEET 2019 application form? How can I retrieve it?

A. In case aspirants have forget their NEET 2019 password, they can retrieve the same in the following ways:

  • OTP (One Time Password): Candidates will need to enter their ‘Registration Number’, ‘Candidate’s Name’ and ‘Date of Birth’ to receive an OTP on their registered phone number.
  • Through Security Question: Candidates will be required to enter details like ‘Registration Number’, ‘Candidate’s Name’ and ‘Date of Birth’.
  • Forget Mobile number and Email ID: Candidates will have to enter ‘Registration Number’, ‘Candidate’s Name’, ‘Father’s and Mother’s Name’ and ‘Date of Birth’. 

Q. Can a candidate from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana eligible for 15% All India Quota seats?

A. Yes. The Government of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana vide their letter no.13021/C1/2016 dated 06.11.2017 & letter no.7072/C1/2017 dated 07.11.2017 respectively have informed that Government of Andhra Pradesh and Government of Telangana have decided to join and contribute to the All India Quota seats. Accordingly, the candidates of these States have also become eligible for 15% All India Quota seats (As per letter No. F.No. V.26012/05.2017-MEP/MEC dated 10.01.2018, Directorate General Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India)

 Q. How much do I need to score to qualify NTA NEET 2019?

A. General category candidates will need to obtain a minimum of 50th percentile, while those belonging to SC/ST/OBC will need to secure at least 40th percentile and candidates from General-PH category will need to score 45th percentile in order to qualify NEET 2019 by NTA. Candidates scoring less than the above-mentioned percentiles will not be included in the All India Rank list of NTA NEET 2019 and will be ineligible for further admission process.

Q. Who can participate in AIQ counseling of NTA NEET 2019?

A. All the candidates who will qualify NTA NEET 2019 by securing minimum required percentile will be eligible for participating in 15% AIQ counseling conducted by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). Candidates belonging to J&K will be eligible to participate in AIQ counseling of NEET 2019 by NTA, only if they fill the self-declaration form at the time of filling NTA NEET 2019 application form.

Q. What are the pros of NTA conducted NEET 2019?

A. The major advantage of NTA NEET 2019 is that the exam will be conducted by a dedicated exam holding body for the first time, unlike was the case with the CBSE. It is therefore expected that many of the glitches which affected previous editions of NEET will be removed.

 Q. Is it possible that a candidate changes its centre city after allotment of roll number?

A. No. Your exam Centre or City cannot be changed under any condition. So you must be careful while filling in the choice of centre.

Q. Who can take  NEET (UG) – 2019?

A. Other than Indian National, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Foreign Nationals can also appear in NEET (UG) 2019.
